Ezekiel 37:1-14
It is likely that Ezekiel was among those deported when the Babylonians first took Jerusalem. In exile, his mission was to preach the word of God to bring new life to dead Israel.
Romans 8:6-11
Paul has written that, as a result of God's love shown in the liberating act of Christ's death and resurrection, we are empowered to live a new life in the Spirit, in which we are free from the consequences of sin, from the finality of death and the Law.
