Mark 11:1-11
In Jericho, Jesus has been instrumental in giving sight to Bartimaeus, a beggar. Jesus has told the man that his faith has made him well. Bartimaeus has joined Jesus and his disciples on their journey to Jerusalem.
John 12:12-16
Many have believed in Jesus, but others have contacted the religious authorities, concerned that the Romans might destroy both the Temple and the Jewish people. Pilgrims visiting Jerusalem for Passover ask whether Jesus will come to the festival.
