Here are a few things to consider in your planning:
• Services can take place at St. Barnabas Church, at the funeral parlour/crematorium, &/or at the graveside. The family/funeral director should contact the Incumbent directly (call 514-684-4460 or email: incumbent-st-barnabas@videotron.ca) as soon as possible to confirm availability before public announcements are published.
• Funeral services (where the body is present in a coffin) or Memorial services (where the cremated ashes are present in an urn) that take place at the church can include Holy Communion or not, as the family desires. Visitation at the church (prior to the service) can also be arranged.
• The Incumbent typically meets with the family, at their mutual convenience, to discuss details of the service such as music, readings, & remembrances/eulogies.
• For information about fees for funerals at St. Barnabas Church (e.g. for the organist & sexton): please contact the church office (call 514-684-4460 or email: office@st-barnabas.qc.ca).
• For use of St. Barnabas parish hall for a reception following the service: please contact the Hall Rentals Manager at the church office (call 514-684-4460 or email: office@st-barnabas.qc.ca) for information about current rates, regulations, & hall availability.
